cold and impersonal
I can cry as much as I want to
nobody would see me
or come to dry my tears.
I can be as lonely

and still “Do not disturb” sign
on the knob of the door
will keep everyone away
But that is
what the hotel rooms are meant for
A man across the table
stares at me
sitting alone
I frown
try to finish my meal fast
to leave the table
before he dares to walk to me.
Strangers are not welcome
Oh, I want a home
a warm hearth
your embrace..........
and need for me.
I shall long all my life
be as cruel
