Blissful Dawn

From the womb
of the dark night
Struggles out
The twittering dawn
With its twilighty tranquil
And with its divine dewy wetness
To dispel the viel of gloom
By its serene, scintilating touch,
With its lilting, refreshing breezy hum,
From the sick and dispirited
Face of sulky nature
And thus spreads
The twilighty viel of bliss
on the anxious face of dull nature,
And immerses it into
The sprightly abyss of dizzy rapture...
Looking at this twittering dawn
My dingy soul echoes:
When that blissful dawn
Will twitter and chime
In my sterile life of sensuous slumber...
And when that sprightly and twilighty
Dawn of my spiritual awakening
Will struggle out
From the whirly womb
Of my dismal life,
And send my dead spirit
Into the dizzy heights of spiritual bliss.
