Sanskrit text, Unicode transliteration and English translation of verse 3.14.332:
अभेदे त्वेकशब्दत्वाच्छास्त्राच्च वचने सति ।
एकशेषो न वक्तव्यो वचनानां त सम्भवः ॥ ३३२ ॥abhede tvekaśabdatvācchāstrācca vacane sati |
ekaśeṣo na vaktavyo vacanānāṃ ta sambhavaḥ || 332 ||332. As there is non-differentiation (of the universal), the use of one word and the use of different numbers through the śāstra would result. Therefore, the retention of one need not be taught.
Commentary
[The universal is expressed by words having different numbers because of the diversity of its substrata, following P. 1.4.21. But the main meaning, the universal, is one and one word would naturally be used. So the retention of one need not be taught.]
