Sanskrit text, Unicode transliteration and English translation of verse 3.14.311:
प्रागाश्रयो हि भेदाय प्रधानेऽभ्यन्तरीकृतः ।
पुनः प्रत्यवमर्शेन विभक्त इव दृश्यते ॥ ३११ ॥prāgāśrayo hi bhedāya pradhāne'bhyantarīkṛtaḥ |
punaḥ pratyavamarśena vibhakta iva dṛśyate || 311 ||311. From the very beginning, the particular substratum is implied in the general but when it is actually mentioned, it is brought out, as it were, from the general.
