न्यायप्रस्थानमार्गांस्तानभ्यस्य स्वं च दर्शनम् ।
प्रणीतो गुरुणाऽस्माकमयमागमसंग्रहः ॥ ४८२ ॥
वर्त्मनामत्र केषाञ्चिद् वस्तुमात्रमुदाहृतम् ।
काण्डे तृतीये न्यक्षेण भविष्यति विचारणा ॥ ४८३ ॥
प्रज्ञाविवेकं लभते भिन्नैरागमदर्शनैः ।
कियद्वा शक्यमुन्नेतुं स्वतर्कमनुधावता ॥ ४८४ ॥
तत्तदुत्प्रेक्षमाणानां पुराणैरागमैर्विना ।
अनुपासितवृद्धानां विद्या नातिप्रसीदति ॥ ४८५ ॥nyāyaprasthānamārgāṃstānabhyasya svaṃ ca darśanam |
praṇīto guruṇā'smākamayamāgamasaṃgrahaḥ || 482 ||
vartmanāmatra keṣāñcid vastumātramudāhṛtam |
kāṇḍe tṛtīye nyakṣeṇa bhaviṣyati vicāraṇā || 483 ||
prajñāvivekaṃ labhate bhinnairāgamadarśanaiḥ |
kiyadvā śakyamunnetuṃ svatarkamanudhāvatā || 484 ||
tattadutprekṣamāṇānāṃ purāṇairāgamairvinā |
anupāsitavṛddhānāṃ vidyā nātiprasīdati || 485 ||482. After mastering those principles and cultivating his own discipline this collection of traditions was composed by our Teacher.
483. Here only the gist of a few of those traditions is given. In the third Kāṇḍa, there will be full discussion.
484. The intellect acquires critical acumen by familiarity with different traditions. How much does one really understand by merely following one’s own reasoning only?
485. The learning of those who have not sat at the feet of the earlier scholars but flit from one idea to another does not attain complete definiteness.
