एतद् विधानमातिष्ठेद् धार्मिकः पृथिवीपतिः ।
स्वामिनां च पशूनां च पालानां च व्यतिक्रमे ॥ २४४ ॥

etad vidhānamātiṣṭhed dhārmikaḥ pṛthivīpatiḥ |
svāmināṃ ca paśūnāṃ ca pālānāṃ ca vyatikrame || 244 ||

This is the rule that the righteous king shall observe, in the case of transgressions by owners, by cattle and by the keepers.—(244)
