The Chaitanya Bhagavata 2.21.24, English translation, including a commentary (Gaudiya-bhasya). This text is similair to the Caitanya-caritamrita and narrates the pastimes of Lord Caitanya, proclaimed to be the direct incarnation of Krishna (as Bhagavan) This is verse 24 of Madhya-khanda chapter 21—“The Lord’s Chastisement of Devananda”.

Bengali text, Devanagari and Unicode transliteration of verse 2.21.24:

`ভাগবত বুঝি’ হেন যার আছে জ্ঞান সে না জানে কভু ভাগবতের প্রমাণ ॥ ২৪ ॥

`भागवत बुझि’ हेन यार आछे ज्ञान से ना जाने कभु भागवतेर प्रमाण ॥ २४ ॥

`bhāgavata bujhi’ hena yāra āche jñāna se nā jāne kabhu bhāgavatera pramāṇa || 24 ||

`bhagavata bujhi’ hena yara ache jnana se na jane kabhu bhagavatera pramana (24)

English translation:

(24) One who thinks, “I understand Śrīmad Bhāgavatam,” does not actually know the conclusion of Śrīmad Bhāgavatam.

Commentary: Gauḍīya-bhāṣya by Śrīla Bhaktisiddhānta Sarasvatī Ṭhākura:

Those who think that they have attained the qualification for understanding Śrīmad Bhāgavatam while considering it an object of their enjoyment cannot understand any portion of Śrīmad Bhāgavatam. The

object established by Śrīmad Bhāgavatam can never be a subject comprehensible to material senses.
