The Chaitanya Bhagavata 2.19.65, English translation, including a commentary (Gaudiya-bhasya). This text is similair to the Caitanya-caritamrita and narrates the pastimes of Lord Caitanya, proclaimed to be the direct incarnation of Krishna (as Bhagavan) This is verse 65 of Madhya-khanda chapter 19—“The Lord’s Pastimes in Advaita’s House”.

বিষয-সুখেতে বড লোকের সন্তোষ চিত্ত বুঝি’ কহে বেদ, বেদের কি দোষ ॥ ৬৫ ॥

विषय-सुखेते बड लोकेर सन्तोष चित्त बुझि’ कहे वेद, वेदेर कि दोष ॥ ६५ ॥

viṣaya-sukhete baḍa lokera santoṣa citta bujhi’ kahe veda, vedera ki doṣa || 65 ||

visaya-sukhete bada lokera santosa citta bujhi’ kahe veda, vedera ki dosa (65)

English translation:

(65) “People take great pleasure in material happiness, and the Vedas offer directions according to their mentality. What is the fault of the Vedas?
