The Chaitanya Bhagavata 2.18.180, English translation, including a commentary (Gaudiya-bhasya). This text is similair to the Caitanya-caritamrita and narrates the pastimes of Lord Caitanya, proclaimed to be the direct incarnation of Krishna (as Bhagavan) This is verse 180 of Madhya-khanda chapter 18—“Mahaprabhu’s Dancing as a Gopi”.

Bengali text, Devanagari and Unicode transliteration of verse 2.18.180:

তোমার মাযায মগ্ন সকল সংসার তুমি ন রাখিলে মাতা কে রাখিবে আর ॥ ১৮০ ॥

तोमार मायाय मग्न सकल संसार तुमि न राखिले माता के राखिबे आर ॥ १८० ॥

tomāra māyāya magna sakala saṃsāra tumi na rākhile mātā ke rākhibe āra || 180 ||

tomara mayaya magna sakala samsara tumi na rakhile mata ke rakhibe ara (180)

English translation:

(180) “The entire world is bewildered by Your illusory energy. O mother, if You do not protect us, then who will?

Commentary: Gauḍīya-bhāṣya by Śrīla Bhaktisiddhānta Sarasvatī Ṭhākura:

“Being entangled by Your illusory energy, godless people of the world wander in the cycle of birth and death and suffer miseries. If You, as the object of their worship, do not protect them, then those foolish children

cannot consider You worshipable. As a result, being entangled in tight ropes, they cannot surrender to the Supreme Lord.”
