The Chaitanya Bhagavata 2.13.348, English translation, including a commentary (Gaudiya-bhasya). This text is similair to the Caitanya-caritamrita and narrates the pastimes of Lord Caitanya, proclaimed to be the direct incarnation of Krishna (as Bhagavan) This is verse 348 of Madhya-khanda chapter 13—“The Deliverance of Jagai and Madhai”.

গৌরচন্দ্র বলে,—“এক-বারে নাহি জানি তিন-বার হৈলে সে হার-জিত মানি” ॥ ৩৪৮ ॥
गौरचन्द्र बले,—“एक-बारे नाहि जानि तिन-बार हैले से हार-जित मानि” ॥ ३४८ ॥
gauracandra bale,—“eka-bāre nāhi jāni tina-bāra haile se hāra-jita māni” || 348 ||
gauracandra bale,—“eka-bare nahi jani tina-bara haile se hara-jita mani” (348)
English translation:
(348) Gauracandra said, “One time doesn’t count. Winning and losing is decided after three fights.”
