The Chaitanya Bhagavata 1.2.158, English translation, including a commentary (Gaudiya-bhasya). This text is similair to the Caitanya-caritamrita and narrates the pastimes of Lord Caitanya, proclaimed to be the direct incarnation of Krishna (as Bhagavan) This is verse 158 of Adi-khanda chapter 2—“The Lord’s Appearance”.

এতেকে কে বুঝে, প্রভু, তোমার কারণ? আপনি সে জান তুমি আপনার মন ॥ ১৫৮ ॥
एतेके के बुझे, प्रभु, तोमार कारण? आपनि से जान तुमि आपनार मन ॥ १५८ ॥
eteke ke bujhe, prabhu, tomāra kāraṇa? āpani se jāna tumi āpanāra mana || 158 ||
eteke ke bujhe, prabhu, tomara karana? apani se jana tumi apanara mana (158)
English translation:
(158) “Therefore, my Lord, who can understand the cause of Your appearance other than You Yourself?
Commentary: Gauḍīya-bhāṣya by Śrīla Bhaktisiddhānta Sarasvatī Ṭhākura:
The Śvetāśvatara Upaniṣad (3.19) states: sa vetti vedyaṃ na ca tasya vettā—“He knows everyone, yet no one knows Him.” Without understanding the purport of this verse, persons whose hearts are attached to false arguments cannot understand the fact that the Lord incarnates according to His own sweet will. In order to bewilder such persons by Your illusory energy, You remain fully independent and beyond the purview of their mental speculation.
