These photographs depict the 108 Lokeshvaras (or Avalokiteshvara) which is well-known in the Kathmandu Valley. The present collection of the drawings by a Nepalese painter is based upon the painting depicting the one hundred and eight Lokeshvaras which decorate the beams of the Macchendranath Temple (Jana Bahal), Kathmandu. The items found here are exhibited in the National Museum of Nepal (Rashtriya Museum).
