Source: Shodhganga: Technical study of the dictionaries published in Sanskrit language since 1800 ADYavanaparipatyanukrama (यवनपरिपत्यनुक्रम) is also called Patraprasasti, being a small lexicon dealing with the forms of royal letters and orders. It has seven sections. This lexicon also contains a number of Persian words with Sanskrit equivalents. The concluding section gives Sanskrit equivalents to Mohammedan expressions relating to politics.
Kosha (कोश, kośa) refers to Sanskrit lexicons intended to provide additional information regarding technical terms used in religion, philosophy and the various sciences (shastra). The oldest extant thesaurus (kosha) dates to the 4th century AD.
