Vṛttiparigaṇana (वृत्तिपरिगणन).—A definite enumeration of words used in a specific sense (as contrasted with वर्तिपरिगणन (vartiparigaṇana)) which means a definite enumeration of the senses in which an operation, such as a compound-formation or so,takes place; cf. अथैतस्मिन्सति अन-भिधाने यदि वृत्तिपरिगणनं क्रियते, वर्तिपरिगणनमपि कर्तव्यम् (athaitasminsati ana-bhidhāne yadi vṛttiparigaṇanaṃ kriyate, vartiparigaṇanamapi kartavyam); cf M.
