1. To sweat, perspire; உடலின் மேற்புறத்து நீர்த்துளி தோன்றுதல். முயங்க யான் வியர்த்தன னென்றனள் [udalin merpurathu nirthuli thonruthal. muyanga yan viyarthana nenranal] (குறுந்தொகை [kurundogai] 84).
2. To feel irritated, as from envy; பொறாமை முதலிய வற்றால் மனம் புழுங்குதல். வியர்த்த லைய மிகை நடுக் கெனாஅ [poramai muthaliya varral manam puzhunguthal. viyartha laiya migai nadug kenaa] (தொல். பொ. [thol. po.] 260).
3. To be angry; சினங்கொள்ளுதல். (பிங்கலகண்டு) [sinangolluthal. (pingalagandu)]
