vēlhāḷa (वेल्हाळ).—m (Poetry. vēllahala S Rake or libertine.) A term of endearment for a husband or other beloved man. 2 f A wife, mistress, or other beloved woman. 3 In reproof. A gadabout, gossiping female. 4 as a Dear, darling, tenderly loved or delighted in;--as a person, countenance, feature, member &c.
