Vañcitaka (वञ्चितक).—adj. (Sanskrit °ta plus -ka, perhaps pitying or con-temptuous), deceived: suvañcitako 'si Lalitavistara 323.10 (verse), said by daughters of Māra to the Bodhisattva, in the passage in which they apply to themselves many forms in ka which I have interpreted as endearing in tone, § 22.34.
