Indirect suggestion by which an author who does not propose to explicity state his idea, endeavours, however, to present it through the skilful employment of such telling comparisons as would help people to infer therefrom what he actually intended to convey, opposed to ஏனையுவமம்; வெளிப்படையானன்றிக் குறிப் பாற் பொருளைப்புலப்படுத்தும் உவமம். உள்ளிறுத்திறு வதையுள்ளுறையுவமம் [enaiyuvamam; velippadaiyananrig kurip par porulaippulappaduthum uvamam. ulliruthiru vathaiyulluraiyuvamam] (தொல். பொ.
