ujēḍa (उजेड).—m Light. 2 Something to cast light; any lighted thing. Ex. āndhāra paḍalā kāṃhīṃ u0 saṅgēṃ ghyā. u0 pāḍaṇēṃ-lāvaṇēṃ-karaṇēṃ To do mighty things (ironically); to make a blaze; to set the Thames on fire. u0 hōṇēṃ or paḍaṇēṃ g. of s. To be blazoned abroad. Agreeing with ujēḍa pāḍaṇēṃ other phrases are maśāla pājaḷaṇēṃ-lāvaṇēṃ, ṭēmbhā pājaḷaṇēṃ, nagāṛyāvara ṭiparūṃ ṭākaṇēṃ- vājaviṇēṃ, divasāṃ maśāla lāvaṇēṃ, bēcāḷīsa or kūḷa uddharaṇēṃ, vaḍilācēṃ nāva gājaviṇēṃ.
