Tiraṅku (திரங்கு) [tiraṅkutal] 5 intransitive verb

1. To be wrinkled, crumpled; வற்றிச் சுருங்குதல். தெங்கின் மடல்போற் றிரங்கி [varris surunguthal. thengin madalpor rirangi] (மணிமேகலை [manimegalai] 20, 57).

2. To dry up, as dead leaves; உலர்தல். திரங்கு மரனாரிற் பொலியச் சூடி [ularthal. thirangu maranarir poliyas sudi] (பத்துப்பாட்டு: மலை [pathuppattu: malai] 431).

3. To be folded in, as the fingers of a closed hand; to be curled up, as the hair; சுருளுதல். திரங்கு செஞ்சடை கட்டிய செய்வினைக்கு [suruluthal. thirangu senchadai kattiya seyvinaikku] (கம்பராமாயணம் காட்சி. [kambaramayanam kadsi.] 25).
