Source: DDSA: The Molesworth Marathi and English Dictionarytānalāḍū (तानलाडू).—m A lāḍū (a ball of coarse sugar made up with gram &c.) of fabulous story, given to a traveler to quench his thirst on the road: as bhūka- lāḍū was given to satisfy his hunger. Hence tāna- lāḍū bhūkalāḍū come (rather jocosely) to signify Viaticum.
