taḷasaṇēṃ (तळसणें).—v c (taḷa Bottom.) To strip clean; to clear (a tree of its branches, a branch of its leaves or thorns, the ground of bushes and herbage, the body of its hair &c.): also to clear away (branches, leaves, bushes, hairs, from a tree &c.); to clear and make bare. See further under taḷāsaṇēṃ.

taḷāsaṇēṃ (तळासणें).—v c (taḷa Bottom.) To execute, perform, or do (from the bottom) radically or thoroughly. Gen. in the form ūna and in construction with a designating verb; as taḷasūna-jhāḍa-upaṭa-kāpa-tāsa- randha-pusa-ghē. See further under taḷasaṇēṃ, for these two forms, although involving some slight ground of respective eligibility in certain applications or in the view of certain speakers, are but one verb, and they bear substantially the same signification.
