śēḍagāṃva pēḍagāṃva (शेडगांव पेडगांव).—n (Names real or fancied of two villages. A phrase founded on some old story.) Used of a decision or settlement (of a litigated matter, a quarrel &c.) in expression of its superficial and unsatisfactory character): also composition of a difference between parties by friendly expostulation and suggestions, or by blarney, palaver &c., addressed to both. Ex. tō kajjā puratēpaṇīṃ karūna yā śē0 karūṃ nakā.
