Rājaputtra (राजपुत्त्र).—m.

(-ttraḥ) 1. The planet Mercury. 2. A Kshetriya or man of the military tribe. 3. A soldier by profession but one of a mixed birth or fabulous origin. 4. The son of a king, a prince. f. (-ttrī) 1. Arabian jasmine. 2. A bitter gourd. 3. The musk-shrew. 4. A kind of brass or bell-metal. 5. A princess. 6. A woman of the Rajput tribe. E. rāja a king or the moon, and puttra a son, a child.
