Murukayar (முருகயர்) [murukayartal] intransitive verb < முருகு [murugu] +.

1. To offer worship to Skanda; முருகக் கடவுளுக்கு பூசை செய்தல். [murugak kadavulukku pusai seythal.]

2. To dance while under possession by Skanda; வெறியாடுதல். முருகயர்ந்து வந்த முதுவாய் வேலன் [veriyaduthal. murugayarnthu vantha muthuvay velan] (குறுந்தொகை [kurundogai] 362).
