mu0 nēsaṇēṃ (मु0 नेसणें) [or पांघरणें, pāṅgharaṇēṃ].—a profligate, bold, shameless course of conduct. musaḷāsa aṅkura phuṭaṇēṃ To return into one's place in society; to resume one's social relations. Used of a person just recovered from a long sickness &c. 2 Used of the occurrence of anything deemed impossible. musa- ḷācēṃ dhanū karaṇēṃ (To bow or bend a pestle.) To subdue a bully, improve a booby, correct an obdurate or callous person &c. musaḷācēṃ dhanuṣya or dhanū hōta nāhīṃ or kōṭhēṃ hōtēṃ (Can we make a bow out of a pestle?) Can we transform a dull, coarse, awkward, ignorant fellow into a man of accomplishments? --make a silk purse out of a sow's ear?--break up and alter Nature? musaḷāsa musa- ḷāśīṃ gāṇṭha paḍata nāhīṃ Used of contending parties of whom, from the equal obstinacy of both, the mutual understanding cannot be effected. sagaḷēṃ musaḷa kērānta The pounder is slipped away amongst the dust-sweepings. Used of an impossibility or a matter rejected as utterly incredible.
