Note lēṅkarūṃ is not, as mūla, pōra, bāḷa, bāḷaka, arbhaka &c., a human being in childhood, but a child as offspring or progeny, as an offshoot of and as pertaining unto (parents). lēṅkarūṃ being neuter cannot be Englished but by the word Child, yet does it involve, as closely as lēṅka q. v., the idea of relationship, signifying as strictly as lēṅka m Son (not Boy), or as lēṅka f Daughter (not Girl).
