kēmbaḷa (केंबळ) [or केमळ, kēmaḷa].—n The pendulous filaments of a wall or roof (from smoke or dust). 2 A low word of abuse in the female vocabulary. 3 fig. (From the sense below, Old thatch.) An utterly haggard or dried up old woman, a crone, a hag.
