Source: DDSA: The Molesworth Marathi and English Dictionarykāraṇadēha (कारणदेह).—m S kāraṇaśarīra n S The inner rudiment and causative frame or principle of the gross body termed sthūladēha and of the inner envelopment termed liṅgadēha. As these two are the product of ajñāna or avidyā (Ignorance), kāraṇa- dēha, after all its causation and production, falls resolved into ajñāna. Ex. sthūlasūkṣmadēhadvayātēṃ || āṇi viparītajñānātēṃ || ajñānaci prasavalē mhaṇōni || kāraṇadēha mhaṇijē paiṃ ||. For further enlightenment see liṅgadēha & sthūladēha.
