jōgavaṇēṃ (जोगवणें) [or जोगावणें, jōgāvaṇēṃ].—v i To idle at work; to work lazily or leisurely; to dawdle, dally, trifle, loiter. 2 fig. To get on tolerably well; to obtain a sufficiency without much trouble. Ex. rānānta gavata jhālyāpāsūna gāyī jōgāvūna yēūṃ lāgalyā; tyā gāyīcyā dudhānēṃ vāsarūṃ mātra jōgāvatēṃ kāṃhīṃ urata nāhīṃ: also to pass or proceed, although with some shifts and expedients; to jog on. Ex. āmacā saṃsāra dōna hajāra rūpayānta jōgāvatō. 3 To get on well; to thrive, prosper, flourish--an animal or a plant. 4 To do for; to suffice or serve for after a fashion. Ex. tāndūḷa udyāñcyā divasīṃ jōgavēla.
