jhaḍakā (झडका).—a (jhaḍaṇēṃ) Wasted or shrunken--the body, leaves &c.

jhaḍākā (झडाका).—(An imit. formation.) A smart stroke or blow; a forceful application; as kāṭhīcā-pada- rācā-pāvasācā-vāṛyācā-jha0. v lāga. The word is further used sometimes in the senses of jhapāṭā, sometimes in those of dhaḍākā, but it is less common than either.
