A secret and sudden attack (as of sickness, a demon or god, a gang of robbers, the enemy). Verbs, in both senses, ghāla, māra, kara, but ghāla is with guptaghālā, māra with guptamāra or rā, kara with both. Also (neuter) v paḍa.
