ghamaśāna (घमशान).—n (ghōraśmaśāna S through H A furious fight. In Maraṭhi it is applied arbitrarily or fancifully, though ever with implication whether of violence and extravagancy of action or of excessive and overflowing abundance of articles.) Wild tumultuous jollity; mad leaping and capering; romps. v ghāla, māṇḍa. 2 Riot, revel, luxurious banqueting. 3 Exuberance (of dishes at a feast, of products of the season, of rain &c.) 4 Treading, trampling, tossing and kicking about. Ex. mājhyā antharuṇāvara gha0 ghālūna durdaśā karūna ṭākalī.
