bōnēṃ (बोनें).—n An offering (of victuals or of some eatable) to an idol. v dākhava In parts of the Konkaṇ bōnēṃ is understood esp. of Cakes and sweetmeats piled up by girls around the image of maṅgaḷagaurī, to be eaten on the day after the worship of her. 3 (Poetry.) Prepared food, victuals, viands. 4 Wheaten paste to rub over the mṛdaṅga v lāva. 5 Offals, orts, left victuals.
