Source: archive.org: Puranic EncyclopediaBalivāk (बलिवाक्).—A hermit. It is mentioned in Mahābhārata, Sabhā Parva, Chapter 4, Stanza 14 that this hermit had been a member of the durbar of Yudhiṣṭhira.
The Purana (पुराण, purāṇas) refers to Sanskrit literature preserving ancient India’s vast cultural history, including historical legends, religious ceremonies, various arts and sciences.
