Āyaḥśūlika (आयःशूलिक).—a. (- f.) [अयःशूल-ठक् (ayaḥśūla-ṭhak) P.V.2.76]. Active, diligent, indefatigable.

-kaḥ A man who, in order to gain an object, uses forcible instead of gentle means (tīkṣṇopāyena yo'nvicchetsa āyaḥśūliko janaḥ); cf. K. P.1; अयःशूलेन अन्विच्छति (ayaḥśūlena anvicchati) (scil. arthān) इत्यायःशूलिकः (ityāyaḥśūlikaḥ).
