Apratisaṅkrama (अप्रतिसङ्क्रम):—[bahuvrihi compound] m. f. n.

(-maḥ-mā-mam) Having no as-sociations with, free from connexion with; as Purusha or his (of the Yoga philosophy) who is immutable and does not intermix with wordly objects; e. g. in the Yoga Sūtra: citterapratisaṃkramāyāstadākārāpattau buddhisaṃvedanam (Bhojadeva: puruṣaścidrūpatvāccittiḥ . sā apratisaṃkramā . na vidyate pratisaṃkramonyatragamanaṃ yasyāḥ sā . tathoktā . anyāsaṃkīrṇeti &c.; another comm.: apariṇāminī hi bhoktṛśaktirapratisaṃkramā ca). E. a priv. and pratisaṅkrama.
