(-tiḥ) The logical connexion be-tween two topics arising from the circumstance that the one is a restriction of, or exception to, the other; e. g. prathamādhyāyasya (of Mādhava’s Jaiminīya-nyāya-mālā-vistara) tṛtīyapādasya prathamādhikaraṇeṣṭakādismṛteḥ prāmāṇyamuktam . dvitīyādhikaraṇe sarvaveṣṭanasmṛteḥ pūrvavatprāptaṃ prāmāṇyamapodyate . seyamapavādasaṃgatiḥ.
