(-tā) (In Grammar.) The pre-ponderance of the sense of another word, viz. in a [bahuvrihi compound]; see the preceding; e. g. unmattagaṅgamityādāvanyapadārthapradhānatā (Kaiyyaṭa). Comp. the following. E. anyapadārtha and pradhānatā.
