Anukaraṇe (ಅನುಕರಣೆ):—

1) [noun] act of reproducing what another has said; acting in the same manner the other person has done; the result of such imitating; imitation.

2) [noun] a forming of a word by imitating the natural sound associated with the object or action involved; onomatopoeia.

3) [noun] the state or quality of being like; similarity; likeness.
