aḍāṅkhā (अडांखा).—m (aḍa & aṅkha) The number remaining of the sum of a column of items after the several subtraction from it of all the items but the lowest; corresponding, if the sum be correct, with this lowest or undeducted item. A method of proving addition. 2 A large sheet exhibiting, in all the particulars of time, place, person &c., monies paid or lent.
