The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

नानातामलमुत्सृज्य परमात्मैकतां गतः ।
कुर्वन्कार्यमकार्यं च नैव कर्ता त्वमर्जुन ॥ ३२ ॥

nānātāmalamutsṛjya paramātmaikatāṃ gataḥ |
kurvankāryamakāryaṃ ca naiva kartā tvamarjuna || 32 ||

By avoiding the dirt of duality and plurality (of beliefs), betake yourself to your belief in the unity of the supreme spirit, and then whether you do or not do your ceremonial acts, you will not be accounted as the doer.
