श्री-विष्णुर् उवाच
यस्मिन्न् अण्डे पृष्णिगर्भो
ऽवतारो ऽभूत् सनातनः
त्रिविक्रम-नखोद्भिन्ने
तस्मिन्न् अण्डे स्थिता वयम्
śrī-viṣṇur uvāca
yasminn aṇḍe pṛṣṇigarbho
'vatāro 'bhūt sanātanaḥ
trivikrama-nakhodbhinne
tasminn aṇḍe sthitā vayam
śrī-viṣṇuḥ uvāca—Śrī Viṣṇu said; yasmin—in which; aṇḍe—universe; pṛṣṇigarbhaḥ—Pṛśnigarbha; avatāraḥ—incarnation; abhūt—was; sanātanaḥ—eternal; trivikrama—of Lord Trivikrama; nakha—by the nails; udbhinne—broken; tasmin—in that; aṇḍe—universe; sthitāḥ—situated; vayam—we.
English translation of verse 1.2.30:
Śrī Viṣṇu said: We stay in the universe where eternal Lord Pṛśnigarbha descended, the universe broken by Lord Trivikrama's toenail.
