Jāipur is an archaeologically important site situated in Cuttack district (Orissa or Odisha), known for inscriptions regarding the ancient history of India. For example, at Jāipur there is a Tulasī-mañcha at Devīdvāra which records the installation of the god Madanamohana. The Hindi portion mentions Khētu Bābu and Bholānātha Miśra. The Oriya portion refers to the 42nd Aṅka of Rāmachandra Deva.

There is also a stone built into the pavement of the compound of the temple of Trilochana which seems to record the name of a pilgrim. In characters of about the tenth century. There is also a stone image of Chāmuṇḍā lying on the main road near the above temple which contains a Sanskrit inscription that mentions queen Vatsadevī. There is also a stone pedestal in the compound of the S. D. O.’s Bungalow which records a Buddhist tract in characters of about the tenth century.
