15. Brahma and others in the Rosary of Akṣa-beads
[...] Akṣamālikā Upaniṣad verse 3.
The innermost thread is Brahmā. The right is Śiva and the left is Viṣṇu. The mouth is Sarasvatī (goddess of wit) and tail is Gāyatrī. The hold in every bead is learning (vidyā) and the knot is nature. The vowel (svara) being detached (sattva) are in white colour. The consonants (touch) being blended form of Sattva and Tamas are yellow and beyond to these properties (excluding Sattva and Tamas) are of red colour because of Rajas property.
