Part 3b - Tīrthas recommended for Śrāddhas

Hiraṇyaka extends from Ramyaka to the Śveta mountain.[1]

Indranīla is one of the holy places highly praised for śrāddha and the gods are said to live here.[2]

Jayatīrtha is one of the holy places where the performance of śrāddha is extolled.[3]

Kṛṣṇatīrtha is a holy place for offering śrāddhas.[4]

Kubjātīrtha is a holy place where the śrāddha performed is believed to bear endless fruits.[5]

Mahābodhi is one of the holy places where the performance of śrāddhas is recommended.[6]

The goddess Mahābhāga is worshipped at Mahālaya.[7] It is believed to be holy because of Śiva's abode.[8]

In Mahāliṅga the goddess Kapilā is worshipped.[9] It is a famous holy place where the performance of śrāddhas is recommended.[10]

Mahānada is one of the holy places where the performance of śrāddha is recommended and here the gods are said to dwell.[11]

Mahārudra is a famous holy place where the performance of śrāddhas is recommended. Mahāśāla is a famous tīrtha known for offering śrāddhas.[12]

Mahāśālanadi is a holy place where the performance of śrāddhas is recommended. [13]

Mandodarītīrtha is one of the holy places where the performance of śrāddha is recommended.[14]

Nāgatīrtha is a holy place where the performance of śrāddha is recommended.[15]

Pāśupātatīrtha is a holy place where the performance of śrāddha is said to bear innumerable fruits.[16]

Pṛthūdaka is one of the holy places where the performance of śrāddhas is recommended.[17]

In Puruṣottama the goddess Vimalā is worshipped. It is a holy place for offering śrāddha.[18]

Bahumūlaka serpents are said to reside in Prajāpatikṣetra.[19] This is a sacred region of Prayāga.[20]

Bhairavakṣetra is an excellent holy place for the offering of srāddhas.[21]

Cakravāka is a holy place where the performance of śrāddhas is recommended.[22]

Campā, the river is recognised as a holy place for the offering of śrāddhas.[23]

Dhūtapāpa is a holy place for the manes and the performance of śrāddhas is said to give an everlasting fruit.[24]

Ekāmbhakat is one of the holy places where the performance of the śrāddha is performed.[25] The goddess Kīrtimatī is worshipped here.[26]

Rāmādhivāsa is one of the holy places where the performance of śrāddha is highly extolled, and the gods are said, to abide here.[27]

In Rāmatīrtha goddess Ramanā is worshipped.[28] The offers of śrāddha here are said to attain the highest abode.[29]

Rāmeśvara is one of the holy places where the performance of śrāddhas is extolled.[30]

Goddess Mahādevī is worshipped in Śāligrāma.[31] This is a holy place where the performance of śrāddha is recommended.[32]

Syāmatapañcakakṣetra is situated on the banks of the Sarasvatī.[33] It is a holy place where the performance of śrāddha is recommended.[34] It is a sacred pitṛtīrtha.[35]

It said to be sacred at Kurukṣetra whereas the Narmadā is sacred at all places.[36]

The goddess Devamātā is worshipped[37] on the banks of Paravara of the Sarasvatī.[38]
