The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

रक्तमांसास्थियन्त्राणि बहून्यतितराणि च ।
पदार्थानभिकर्षन्ति नास्ति तेषु सचेतनः ॥ ३५ ॥

raktamāṃsāsthiyantrāṇi bahūnyatitarāṇi ca |
padārthānabhikarṣanti nāsti teṣu sacetanaḥ || 35 ||

Man's blood, flesh, and bones with other (parts of his body) serve as machines to supply him with sensations of external object; but there is no intelligence in them.
