Rig Veda 1.3.9
Sanskrit text [Accents, Plain, Transliterated]:
विश्वे॑ दे॒वासो॑ अ॒स्रिध॒ एहि॑मायासो अ॒द्रुह॑: । मेधं॑ जुषन्त॒ वह्न॑यः ॥
विश्वे देवासो अस्रिध एहिमायासो अद्रुहः । मेधं जुषन्त वह्नयः ॥
viśve devāso asridha ehimāyāso adruhaḥ | medhaṃ juṣanta vahnayaḥ ||
English translation:
“May the universal Gods, who are exempt from decay, omniscient, devoid of malice, and bearers of (riches), accept the sacrifice.”
Commentary by Sāyaṇa: Ṛgveda-bhāṣya
Ehimāyāsaḥ: those who have obtained knowledge universally, sarvataḥ vyāptaprajñaḥ; or, the term may refer to a legend: viśvedevas addressed Agni, Saucika, who had gone into the water, saying ehi, come, mā yāsiḥ, do not go away; hence they got the appellation, ehimāyāsaḥ
