The Garga-samhita Verse 4.18.6, English translation, including word-by-word: This text represents a Vaishnava scripture which narrates the life Krishna, It was composed in seventeen cantos by Garga Muni: an ancient sage and priest of the Yadu dynasty having. This is verse 4 of Chapter 18 (The Names and Worship of Sri Yamuna) of Canto 4 (madhurya-khanda).

Sanskrit text, transliteration and word-by-word meaning:

विधाय सोडच-दलम् पद्मम् सिम्हासने चुभे कर्निकायाम् च कालिन्दीम् न्यसेच् छ्री-क्र्स्न-सम्युताम्

vidhāya soḍaca-dalam padmam simhāsane cubhe karnikāyām ca kālindīm nyasec chrī-krsna-samyutām

vidhāya—placing; soḍaca-dalam—sixteen petal; padmam—lotus; simhāsane—on a throne; cubhe—beautiful; karnikāyām—in the whorl of a lotus; ca—and; kālindīm—Yamunā; nyasec—places; chrī-krsna-samyutām—with Srī Krsna.

English translation of verse 4.18.6:

In a sacred circle one should draw a sixteen-petal lotus flower. In the whorl of the lotus one should write the words Srī Krsna and Kālindī.
