The Garga-samhita Verse 2.24.32, English translation, including word-by-word: This text represents a Vaishnava scripture which narrates the life Krishna, It was composed in seventeen cantos by Garga Muni: an ancient sage and priest of the Yadu dynasty having. This is verse 2 of Chapter 24 (The Story of Asuri Muni in the Rasa-dance Pastime) of Canto 2 (vrindavana-khanda).

Sanskrit text, transliteration and word-by-word meaning:

वारं वारं कृतं ध्यानं
खिन्नो जातो महा-मुनिः
ध्यानाद् उत्थाय स मुनिः
कृष्ण-दर्शन-लालसः

vāraṃ vāraṃ kṛtaṃ dhyānaṃ
khinno jāto mahā-muniḥ
dhyānād utthāya sa muniḥ
kṛṣṇa-darśana-lālasaḥ

vāraṃ vāramagain and again; kṛtam—done; dhyānam—meditation; khinnaḥmorose; jātaḥbecame; mahā-muniḥ—the great sage; dhyānāt—from meditation; utthāya—rising; sa—hbe; muniḥthe sage; kṛṣṇa-darśana-lālasaḥ—yearning to see Lord Kṛṣṇa.

English translation of verse 2.24.32:

Again and again he meditated. The great sage felt frustrated and depressed.

Yearning to see Lord Kṛṣṇa, he came out of his meditative trance.
